Your images stay with you
The image tools on DEWANARO run entirely in your web browser. The pictures you select are processed on your own device. They are not uploaded to, or stored on, our servers. This includes the background remover and every other tool.
Who we are
DEWANARO operates the website dewanaro.co.uk. For any privacy question, use our contact page.
Information we collect
- Contact form: if you write to us, we receive the name, email address and message you submit. We use them only to reply to you and keep them no longer than needed to deal with your request.
- Analytics (only if you accept): we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are used. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country and city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use analytics to identify you.
- Server logs: our hosting provider may log technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested for security and performance.
Cookies
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Analytics only starts if you choose Accept. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google Analytics.
- Your choice: remembered in your browser (local storage) so we do not ask on every visit.
- Google Analytics cookies (set only after you accept):
_gaand_ga_*, which last up to 2 years and distinguish visitors and sessions.
You can change your mind at any time: open cookie settings. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
Why we process data (legal basis)
We rely on your consent for analytics cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering your messages for server logs and contact enquiries, in line with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd), only after you accept. Data may be processed outside the UK under Google’s safeguards. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Google Fonts, which may receive standard request information such as your IP address when fonts load.
- Hostinger, our web hosting provider.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us through the contact page. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
